Justice for Tony McDade

Tony McDade was a 38 year old Black transgender man who was murdered by Tallahassee police on May 27th. Prior to his death, he was targeted with violence by five cisgender men on account of him being trans and continued to be misgendered after his death.

Dominique "Rem'mie" Fells was a 27 year old Black transgender woman who was murdered and discovered near the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia on June 8th. She was the oldest of three sisters who, according to a friend of hers, "...lived her truth so loud that you could hear her a mile away.”

Homeless Black Trans Woman Fund

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, this GoFundMe was created by Jesse Pratt López, a transgender Latina immigrant. It is a fund covering food and necessities for the community of Black transgender women in Atlanta who are sex workers and/or homeless.

The Okra Project

Founded by Ianne Fields Stewart, The Okra Project is a collective that aims to help Black Trans people experiencing food insecurity by bringing home cooked, healthy, and culturally specific meals to them. It is based on individual donations used to pay Black Trans chefs to cook meals for Black Trans people in their homes or for delivery at no cost to them.

The Black Trans Travel Fund

Created in direct response to the continuous violence Black transgender women experience across the country, the Black Trans Travel Fund is a mutual-aid based organization that works to provide Black transgender women with necessary financial resources to be able to self-determine and access safer alternatives to travel.

Trans Women of Color Survival Fund

Organized by the Trans Women of Color Collective, the Trans Women of Color Survival Fund is focused on assisting trans people of color with financial needs from meals to assistance with bill pay. This collective also has other funds that provide support for transgender people of color, to which you can donate here.

Emergency Release Fund

A grassroots organization dedicated to keeping transgender people out of jail in NYC, the Emergency Release Fund provides bail funds per request to ensure the release of transgender loved ones.

For The Gworls

Founded by a Black transgender woman and a Black nonbinary person, For The Gworls raises money to help provide funds for rent and gender affirming surgeries for Black transgender people across the country.

Black Trans Protestors Emergency Fund

In partnership with the Black Trans Travel Fund, For The Gworls, and The Okra Project, Black Trans Femmes in the Arts are raising money for resources, medical care, and bail for Black trans protestors. Excess funds will be redistributed to Black trans-led organizations. Donations will be accepted through their Cash App and Paypal.

The Marsha P. Johnson Institute

Inspired by activist and self-identified drag queen Marsha P. Johnson, The Marsha P. Johnson Institute is dedicated to championing solutions for Black people in the US by employing black trans people, building more strategic campaigns, launching winning initiatives, etc.

Black Visions Collective

Based in Minnesota, the Black Visions Collective centers their work in healing and transformative justice principles, aiming to develop Minnesota's Black leadership and create conditions for long term success and transformation.

SNaPCo

Based in Atlanta, SNaPCo is a Black, trans-led collaborative committed to providing a community and financial support to Black trans and queer people as well as dismantling the prison industrial complex.

LGBTQ Freedom Fund

The LGBTQ Freedom Fund works to fight the mass detention of LGBTQ individuals by posting bail to secure their safety and liberty in U.S. jails and immigration facilities.

Black AIDS Institute

Committed to providing high-quality HIV services, BAI develops awareness programs about the HIV crisis in Black communities, provides training to build capacity, and mobilizes Black communities to advocate for themselves.

Black Transmen

Founded by Carter and Esperanza Brown, Black Transmen is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Black transgender men through mentoring, access to resources, and financial assistance. They also have other programs that can be found here.
